LEANNE HARRISON

COMPANY DIRECTOR

Leanne trained at the London School of Musical Theatre before touring with a T.I.E. (Theatre in Education) company teaching science to children through the art of dance, drama and singing over the whole of the UK. Leanne made her west end debut in Beowulf the Rock Opera‚ closely followed by the premiere of Children Who Sing Themselves to Sleep Eventually Go Mad. Also turning her hand to modelling, Leanne took the runway in London Fashion Week 05. Leanne decided to pursue a teaching career in Newcastle leaving her professional performing career and agent behind. Since then Leanne has starred in numerous shows at The Theatre Royal, Newcastle including Jekyll and Hyde‚ La Cage aux Folles‚ South Pacific‚ The Full Monty‚ Witches of Eastwick‚ Evita‚ to name but a few. Leanne recently won a NODA Performance Award for her role of Velma Von Tussle in Hairspray at The Tyne Theatre and Opera House. It was there that she met her business partner Mark whilst performing on stage together in Calamity Jane‚ as Wild Bill and Adelaide Adams.

MARK MORRIS-CLARKE

COMPANY DIRECTOR

While at University, Mark started his own Theatre Company and co-wrote and directed a series of short plays which ultimately lead to the Theatre Company touring the UK. As the Musical Director of a Gospel Youth Choir, Mark was on the road for 6, 1 month long European tours. After university Mark moved to the North East as a Youth Worker.Whilst here he has taken the male lead in various shows at the Theatre Royal such as Jesus Christ Superstar, Calamity Jane, Fiddler on the Roof, The Sound of Music (we refuse to still call him Captain) and many more. It was during one of these shows that he met his business partner Leanne.

The rest is history, unlike the Chimney Sweep Theatre Company which is definitely the future!

BECKY MORRIS

VOCAL COACH, DRAMA TEACHER AND MUSICAL THEATRE

Becky is a musical theatre graduate from Northumbria University graduating with a performance BA honours degree. Becky’s passion for theatre began at a young age when she attended theatre schools gaining her first glimpse of training in dance, drama and singing. In more recent years Becky has been cast in leading roles from musicals such as Fame, Little Shop of Horrors, Oliver, High School Musical, The Wiz, Rent…the list goes on. I absolutely love the children at CSTC! They are all such individual characters and I love to see them grow in talent and confidence!

RACHEL MCADAM

SATURDAY THEATRE SCHOOL DANCE TEACHER

Urdang Dance Academy trained Rachel McAdam, has been a passionate performer since the early age of 4.  After school she continued her training on a full time dance course completing her HND in Dance before bagging herself a place at The Urdang Academy, London, gaining her qualification in Professional Musical Theatre. Rachel has been taught by West End performers and dancers from throughout the country which has aided her to gain knowledge and experience in how to teach different abilities and personalities. Since leaving her performing career behind in London, Rachel has concentrated on becoming a freelance teacher, teaching children of all ages in various dance schools throughout the North East.

BETHANIE MITCHINSON

MUSICAL THEATRE AND DANCE TEACHER

Bethanie has danced for most of her life and studied Musical Theatre at Newcastle College. She has performed in numerous musicals and pantomimes in various North East theatres including Grease‚ Witches of Eastwick‚ Footloose‚ Cats‚ The Addams Family‚ and many more. Her favourite roles have included Charity in Sweet Charity, Dale Tremont in Top Hat and, just because it was completely different to most of her other roles, Anybodys in West Side Story. Bethanie also recently won a NODA award for her part of Ariel in ‚ Footloose. She is currently rehearsing for her latest challenge: she is playing the role of Elle Woods in Legally Blonde‚ which has always been a part she has dreamed of playing!

NATALIE HAME

BALLET AND TAP, HOLIDAY CLUB TEACHER

Natalie began dancing at the age of three when she found her passion for performing. She was always the loudest during her primary school plays and was determined to make an impression!

From a young age she was involved in pantomimes and musicals, often singing dancing and acting. Once she had finished her performing arts course at College she moved to Newcastle from her home town in Scunthorpe to study a Musical Theatre Degree, followed by a BA Hons in Dance. She has been taught by a variety of teachers over the years such as a former ballet dancer from the royal ballet school and choreographers from film. Since she graduated she has taught many different styles of dance and singing lessons alike.

NEIL MORRIS-CLARKE

HOLIDAY CLUB SUPERVISOR

Neil has been working with children from when we completed 1 weeks work experience in a school at the age of 16. Since then he has worked for over 6 years in a special needs camp in America. Whilst working successfully in educational recruitment, Neil has been a Governor at a SEN Primary and Secondary School in Co Durham.
